Here's a recap of great 2014 moments:
We started the year off by meeting a lot of brides and vendors at the Wedding Fair. It was our first booth at this Fair and we had a blast. Huge thanks again to my team! I couldn't have done this without you all. (I was feeling under the weather and it turns out I had the H1N1 flu. No one was infected in the process.)
Brides and Elephants
We had a vision of doing a photoshoot at the circus with elephants and it happened.
Mr. and Mrs. Potato Head's Wedding
We learned that they tied the knot and had some of their Toy Story friends attend their wedding.
We Answered Some FAQ's at Wishahmon
Questions such as:
Question: Another bridal shop has a bell on a pillow for the bride to ring when she has found the perfect wedding gown. Do you have that?
Answer: We don't have a bell...or a pillow.
Calgary Public Library Volunteer Appreciation Event
Every year, we try to give back to the community we love. This year, we helped decorate the Calgary Public Library Volunteer Appreciation Event. In addition to being excited to helping out, it was so cool to see the event tweeted by Mayor Nenshi!
Wedding Traditions to Ditch
We shared our thoughts on what traditions are old school, silly, and should be ditched in our three part series (part 1, part 2, part 3). For example:
Inviting people to your wedding because you were invited to theirs.
Invite the people you want to share this special day with. Others invited you to theirs because they wanted you there for a variety of reasons. Do not let this become a competition on whose wedding was better or inviting them just because. It is not worth it for anyone in the long run.
Modern Fairytale Wedding
Once again, we had a vision and put together a group of great vendors to pull together a modern fairytale wedding styled photoshoot. So proud of our vision and the group of vendors!
Growing Wishahmon Team
September 16, 2014, will forever be the most important day of my life because I gave birth to my protege. Two of our team members also had babies in November. Our team continues to grow!
V Loves B Blog Series
Vincci, an unconventional bride started and will continue to blog for us once a month. She shares with us her love story with B and her wedding planning adventures!
Huge thanks to our readers for reading our blog and joining us in our journey! Please continue to join us in 2015 as we continue to find new trends, fun and easy DIY projects, and inject our opinion in anything wedding related! Looking forward to another great year!
